Serengeti National Park

Endless Plains, Endless Wildlife

  • June to October for the dry season and dramatic river crossings; December to March for calving season on the southern plains.

Tanzania's most iconic park, the Serengeti is an almost unbroken sea of grass stretching to the horizon in every direction. It's home to the Great Migration, when over a million wildebeest and zebra move in an endless circuit in search of grazing, and consistently one of the best places on earth to see the Big Five.
